“AACC Mobilizes Delegation to Attend Conference on Trade & Investment in Afghanistan "

As part of its continued effort to promote trade and investment in Afghanistan, AACC sends a delegation of more twenty business people to participate in the Afghanistan International Trade & Investment Conference and Exhibition to be held in Kabul from May 8th through May 12th.

AACC Chairman, Mr. Mahmood Karzai, AACC President, Mr. Atiq Panjshiri, and AACC Senior Advisor, Mrs. Mariam Nawabi, and several Board Members head the delegation that comprises of AACC member companies active in the following sectors: construction, import/export, business, management, consultation, food production/distribution, water sanitation, women’s issues, among many others.
Mrs. Nawabi is one of the featured speakers of the conference. She will address ‘strengthening U.S.-Afghan economic relations’. Other conference speakers include high-ranking government officials and private sector professionals such as H.E. Hamid Karzai, President of Afghanistan, H.E. Hedayat Amin Arsala, Senior Advisor to the President & Minister of Commerce, Dr. Omar Zakhilwal, , President & CEO, Afghanistan Investment Support Agency, and AACC Member and renown Architect, Dr. Hisham Ashkouri.
AACC will also hold a Policy Roundtable with the Afghanistan International Chamber of Commerce (AICC), the Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA), and the Afghanistan Business Council (ABC) among many other member-only events planned for the trip. Furthermore, AACC will participate in the Trade Exhibition by running a booth that will showcase AACC products and services.

The Afghanistan International Trade & Investment Conference and Exhibition is sponsored by the Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA), in collaboration with German Technical Cooperation (GTZ), the German Federation of Industries (BDI) and the Ministry of Commerce.
