ASSAD MATTIN has served as the AACC Executive Committee Vice President for the past years. In the five years prior to joining AACC, Mr. Mattin has been President of MG Consultants, a corporation specializing in real estate and investment. Previously, Mr. Mattin has held a variety of management positions with major corporations, including St. Paul Insurance, USF+G Insurance, and Marriott Corp. During Mr. Mattin’s tenure at these corporations, his service in different management capacities included the direct responsibility of departments such as sales and marketing, accounting, finance, human resources, and asset management.

Prior to beginning his corporate career, Mr. Mattin completed extensive work in the field of diplomacy. While working in Afghanistan’s diplomatic service, Mr. Mattin served as Director of Communications at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and later as Counselor/Deputy Ambassador of Afghanistan’s mission to the United Nations in New York.

Born in Kabul, Afghanistan, Mr. Mattin completed his undergraduate studies in Economics at Kabul University, where he graduated with distinguished honors. Mr. Mattin’s postgraduate education consists of the successful completion of the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul, Afghanistan, through which he subsequently received a scholarship to Oxford University where he studied Diplomacy. In the United States, Mr. Mattin studied Business Administration at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and Strategic Management at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Mr. Mattin is an Alumni of Oxford North America.
